My attraction to water continues through a focus on ponds. Ponds have their deeper undersides, murky, but full of nutrient-dense matter; their surfaces, covered often in flat lily-pads, with reflected light blocking a view of the pond depths; then there are the illusions, or the reflections, of the upper world--trees, clouds, sky colours--onto the water surfaces.
